FRANKLINTON, La – The Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office (WPSO) has announced a temporary relocation of their office throughout the next several weeks during renovations and remodeling to their main office. During this time, the WPSO will be based downtown at 974 Washington Street, formerly Moseley’s Jewelry Store.

“The selection of the temporary location was made with the convenience of our community in mind,” said Candice Sledge, the WPSO Public Information Officer. “We understand that many of you rely on our services, and we want to ensure that your interactions with the Sheriff’s Office remain as accessible as possible.”

The office lobby will contain a drop box for property tax payments. All sheriff’s sales will also take place in the lobby during the renovation. No changes will take place to the location of the Bogalusa office.

“All other services provided by the Sheriff’s Office will continue to be available per our regular operating hours,” said Sledge. “We remain committed to serving our community, and this temporary relocation will not impact the quality of service you receive.”
