Police Respond Promptly, Arrest Three and Seize Narcotics and Firearms in Operation

On Saturday, September 16, 2023, the Bogalusa Police Department swiftly responded to a distressing report of a group of individuals seen carrying firearms near the intersection of Claiborne and Jefferson Street. This proactive action led to the apprehension of multiple suspects and the confiscating of a substantial amount of narcotics and firearms.

Upon reaching the reported location, law enforcement officers encountered several individuals, including Tyler Whitfield, attempting to conceal an AR-15 pistol under his jacket. Whitfield quickly retreated to a nearby residence and disposed of the firearm beneath the structure. This suspicious behavior prompted officers to initiate a comprehensive investigation. Subsequently, a search warrant was obtained and executed at the residence, revealing and resulting in the confiscation of four firearms, approximately 9.5 ounces of fentanyl, as well as heroin, cocaine, marijuana, and a variety of suspected counterfeit pills believed to contain fentanyl.

In response to this development, the Bogalusa Police Department acted swiftly, apprehending and booking three individuals on charges related to narcotics and firearms offenses: Benjamin Holmes, 33; Kendric Lampley, 46; and Tyler Whitfield, 18.
