Mr. Wesley Austin was born November 11, 1950, in New Orleans, LA. He departed from his earthly house to his home in glory at the age of 72 on Saturday, September 3, 2023, at his residence.

Wesley joined the US Army in July of 1970 and was honorably discharged in 1971. After leaving the Army He went to work for Regional Transit Authority (RTA) of New Orleans as a bus Driver until he retired. 

Wesley leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Collet W. Austin; one daughter, Tremel Willimas of Bogalusa, LA; grandkids, Layden Pittman and Sa’ loave Pittman; four brothers, Charles Austin Jr., Michael Austin, Rev, Jonah Austin, Rosevelt Austin; one aunt, Ginger Faye Smith; one niece, Neomie Merrell; six nephews, James Williams, Jonah Austin, Sr., Jonah Austin, Jr., Rendell Austin, Rashad Austin and a host of God kids, other relatives, and friends.

Wesley was preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice (Ma Dear) Austin; his father, Charles Austin and a niece Brittany Austin.

A drive through viewing will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023, from 3:00PM – 6:00PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa.

The funeral service will be Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 11:00AM at Kingdom of God Church with Apostle Kendon Grant – Officiating. Interment – Ponemah Cemetery. Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton are in charge of arrangements. Sign guestbook at www.crainandsons.com.
