A stabbing incident reported on Sunday, August 27th, led to a suspect’s arrest in Washington Parish.

Deputy Blaine Polk of the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office swiftly responded to a distress call concerning a stabbing incident on Elmer Magee Rd.

Upon arriving at the scene, Deputy Polk engaged with the victim, Anthony Magee (B/M, 10-12-1982). Anthony reported being attacked and stabbed in the face by David Tyler Dufrene. Anthony stated that he was walking near his residence on Elmer Magee when he encountered David. After the assault, David fled the scene in a white truck.

Two witnesses came forward during the investigation, corroborating Anthony’s account of the incident. All witnesses, including the victim, identified David Tyler Dufrene as the assailant. They also noted prior interactions with him.

While at the scene, Deputy Polk and Deputy Russel Walker received information from David’s sister and mother, who were in contact with him.
