A shooting incident occurred on Florence Avenue in Bogalusa on Saturday, August 19, 2023. Law enforcement officials are actively investigating the incident, which resulted in the death of a young man.

Around 1:30 am, officers from the Bogalusa Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the area. The victim, identified as Tajdryn Forbes, 19 years old, was discovered with severe injuries on the roadway. Regrettably, Forbes succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Detectives from the police department assessed the scene and found over 50 bullet casings of different calibers nearby. This significant number of cases suggests a serious and complex situation.
