United Way, partners to open Prosperity Center in Washington Parish

United Way of Southeast Louisiana (UWSELA) will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the opening of its United Way Prosperity Center – Bogalusa Campus – the first center of its kind serving Washington Parish residents – located at 432 Avenue U in Bogalusa.

The new center is a partnership between UWSELA, the City of Bogalusa and the International Paper Bogalusa Mill.

The center’s expert staff will help low- to moderate-income participants gain financial stability through an array of services, including financial education and coaching, credit building and counseling, benefits screening, incentivized savings and income tax assistance.

Programming will be available to the public at no cost.
