On October 13, 1946, God blessed Lloyis and Essie Nichols Lewis with a beautiful daughter Lela Mae Lewis. On August 10, 2023, God called his faithful servant Lela Mae Ratliff from her labor here on earth to receive her Heavenly reward.
Lela Mae’s parents, Lloyis and Essie Nichols Lewis; two brothers, Richard Dean Lewis, and Luther Earl Lewis; maternal grandparents, Clenevis & Lonie Nichols; paternal grandparents, Luther, and Louie Lewis; mother and father-in-law Henry and Supfie Ratliff; six brother-n-laws; a granddaughter Kourtney Danielle; all preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her husband, Talage Ratliff; her children, Janet Ratliff, Reginald (Alma Jean) Ratliff, Tanula (Climel) Owens, Darlene (Ellis) Hammer, Talage Wayne, LaKendria Ratliff, and Cindi Ratliff; five sisters, Evangelist Pearl (Oscar) Taylor, Betty Toney, Dorothy Porter, Ida Nell Weary, and Barbara Jean Roberts; one brother, Clenevis Lewis Sr; five sisters-in-law Eddie Mae Ratliff, Geraldine Ratliff, Brenda Ratliff, Velma Ratliff and Ella Rose Lewis; two brother-n-laws, John L (Mary) Ratliff and Walter Ratliff; grand children, Curley (Tracey) Ratliff, Reggie Owens, Robert (Charlicia) Owens, Tyler (Kelly) Owens, Bryce Hammer. Great grandchildren; two God daughters Natlie and Rochell Conley; a dear friend, Sarah Nichols; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, as well as the children; sister, Lela Mae fostered. Sester Lela Mae was a true embodiment of love, radiating warmth and understanding to all who crossed her path.
Viewing on Friday August 18, 2023, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
