Four individuals have been arrested in connection with a retaliatory shooting that left three juveniles injured at the Edgewood Apartments, according to the Bogalusa Police Department. The incident occurred on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, just before midnight.

Officers responded to reports of shots fired at the Edgewood Apartments and found three juveniles suffering from gunshot wounds upon arrival. Immediate medical assistance was provided to the victims, who were transferred to nearby medical facilities to receive treatment for their non-life-threatening injuries.

As the officers and detectives continued their investigation at the scene, they received another report of shots fired in the 1600 Block of Avenue G. Responding officers were provided with a description of the suspect vehicle, a white GMC pickup truck. Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies soon spotted the described vehicle and attempted a traffic stop, but the driver refused to comply, leading to a vehicle pursuit.

The pursuit extended through the southern part of Washington Parish and finally concluded in St. Tammany Parish. The suspects’ vehicle was eventually stopped, and the four individuals inside were apprehended by law enforcement. The driver, Erin Zeno (18), passenger Daylon Jackson (19), passenger Sincere Gatlin (18), and a 17-year-old juvenile were arrested and now face a range of felony charges related to the Avenue G shooting.

Erin Zeno, Daylon Jackson, and Sincere Gatlin were transported to the St. Tammany Parish Jail, where they await transfer to the custody of the Bogalusa Police Department. Meanwhile, the 17-year-old juvenile was taken to the Florida Parish Detention Center.

The Bogalusa Police Department expressed gratitude to the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office and the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in capturing these individuals.

As the investigation remains ongoing, authorities anticipate more arrests shortly. Further details regarding the motive behind the retaliatory shooting and any additional suspects involved will be disclosed later.
