Mr. Larry Anthony Bruns, 59, of Odessa, TX, a former
resident of Bogalusa, LA, departed this life on Wednesday,
July 5, 2023, at the Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, TX.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his Father, Donald Ray Bruns, Sr., of Shreveport, LA.
(2) Daughters, Uaketha (Raymond) Bonner of Slidell, LA, and Shameka (Alonzo) LeBlanc of Haughton, LA.
(3) Sons, Jeremy Spurlock of Odessa, TX, Issac James of Ladson, SC and Larry James of Odessa, TX.
(2) Sisters, Chequitah Bruns of Bogalusa, LA and Monique Bruns of Shreveport, LA.
(3) Brothers, Donald Bruns, Jr., of Odessa, TX, Brian (Patrice) Jackson of Bogalusa, LA, and Kekouya Jackson of Bogalusa, LA.
(2) Aunts, Lucille Bland of New Orleans, LA, and Juanita Britt of Rialto, CA.
(3) Uncles, Ernest (Central) Fox of Bogalusa, LA, Joe (Jackie) Conley of Mansfield, TX and Stanley Brown of Mandeville, LA.

He was proceeded in death by his Mother, Mary Fox Bruns, (1) Sister, Melyndia Bruns,
Grandparents, Elder Henry & Charlotte Conley, Mike Bruns and Mattie Bruns, Step-mother, Velma Bruns, (2) Aunts, Joyce Bruns-Brown. Mari Bruns-Webb, (5) Uncles, Frank Charles Bruns, Walter Fox, Sr, John Henry Conley, Joseph Britt and Arcell Bland.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, July 29 th , 11:00 AM at the St. Paul
A.M.E. Church, 420 Church Street, Bogalusa, LA. The repast will immediately follow in
the fellowship hall.
