Marie Louise Warner, born October 11, 1936, in New Orleans, LA, passed away Saturday morning at her residence in Bogalusa, LA surrounded by her family at the age of 86. She was the last charter member of Westside Emmanuel Baptist Church, Bogalusa, LA. She was involved in church playing the organ for 40 years, teaching Sunday school, and children’s choir.

 

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Sidney “Gussie” Warner, Sr. of Bogalusa, LA; daughter, Conni Warner of Bogalusa, LA; 2 sons, Sidney (Faye) Warner, Jr. of Bogalusa, LA, and Stanley (Amy) Warner of Denham Springs, LA; 6 grandchildren, Krystal Warner, Rebecca Warner, Andrew Warner, Brittany Warner, Wade Warner, and Erin Warner; 4 great grandchildren, Wyatt Warner, Riley Warner, Ashton Williams, and Corbin Warner. Also survived by other relatives, and a host of friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dock and Mary Fairchild, and half-sister, Lucille Armstrong.

 

Funeral Services will be held at Westside Emmanuel Baptist Church, 1143 West 9th Street, Bogalusa, LA on Monday, July 24, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Marcus Rosa officiating. Interment to follow in Hillview Memorial Gardens, Spring Valley Road, Bogalusa, LA. The Deacons of Westside Emmanuel Baptist Church will be pallbearers.

 

A visitation will be held at the church on Monday morning from 9 A.M. until time for the funeral service at 11:00 A.M.
