According to the Bogalusa Police Department’s Facebook page, on July 9, 2023 at approximately 19:57 hours. Officers were dispatched to Cassidy Park in reference to a white male exposing himself near the splash pad. The complainant advised that the w/m was driving a dark grey Jeep. Upon Officers arrival the suspect fled the area and was located on St John St. where he barricaded himself inside a residence.

Officers attempted to negotiate with the unidentified male for several hours, but the subject refused to cooperate and subsequently took his own life. 

This is an active investigation.
