PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

City of Bogalusa

The City of Bogalusa will hold a public hearing at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 13, 2023.  The purpose of the meeting is to obtain views on the community development needs of the City of Bogalusa and to discuss the submission of an application for funding under the State of Louisiana FY 2023 Community Development Block Grant (LCDBG) Clearance Program.  This program will address the national objective of eliminating or preventing slum and blight properties within the City.

The hearing will be held at the City Hall located at 202 Arkansas Avenue, Bogalusa, LA  70427.

The following items will be discussed at the hearing.

1. The amount of funds available for the clearance program.
2. The range of activities available that may be undertaken, including the estimated amount of funds proposed to be used for activities that will address the national objective of eliminating and/or preventing slum and blight properties;
3. The plans of the City for minimizing displaced persons as a result of activities assisted with such funds and the benefits to be provided by the City to persons actually displaced as a result of such activities; and
4. The City’s past performance on LCDBG projects funded by the State of Louisiana.

All residents, particularly low and moderate income persons and residents of blighted properties of the City of Bogalusa are encouraged to attend this meeting.

Accommodations will be made for persons with disabilities and non-English speaking individuals provided that three day notice is received by the City.
