Anne Hope Pettitt Giacone, 86, of Bogalusa, LA passed away on July 5th, 2023.
Hope was born on September 21, 1937 in Picayune, MS to Mr. & Mrs. Henry Pettitt. After Hope graduated from Bogalusa High School, she went on to study at Pearl River Community College where she majored in music and served as the pianist for Glee Club and Mixed Chorus.
Hope was employed as a secretary in real estate and insurance offices in both Picayune and Bogalusa, at Gaylord Container Corporation, Bogalusa Chamber of Commerce, and Sullivan Memorial Trade School.
Hope shared her passion and love for music with many throughout the years. She taught piano lessons and served as a pianist for Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Picayune and Pettitt Memorial Baptist Church in Bogalusa, and was one of many pianists at Memorial Baptist Church in Bogalusa, LA. Along with her dedicated service as a pianist in these communities of faith, she was also a guest pianist for many revivals and cantatas at several other churches.
Hope is survived by her husband of 61 years, Joseph Frank Giacone, of Bogalusa, LA.
Services will be held at Memorial Baptist Church on Saturday, July 8, 2023 with the visitation beginning at 9:00 am and the funeral service starting at 11:00 am. Rev. Field Thigpen will officiate the service and interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery.
