Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

On July 1, 2023, Sister Helen Marie “Moma Helen” Williams gained her wings and went to walk among the heavenly angels, at the dear age of 83.

She always provided love and support for her family, and she worked tirelessly for over 25 years at the Bogalusa Community Medical Center, retiring as the Housekeeping Director, to provide endless opportunities for her children and grandchildren

Helen was introduced to Christ at an early age, and she continued to be a beacon for God’s Work and His Word until her health began to fail.  She was a member of Bogalusa First Church, under the leadership of Pastor Travis Houston. Her daily living was one that demonstrated the belief that she knew only what you did for Christ would last; and that her greatest reward would be the eternal life she would be afforded in the end of her earthly life.

Her memories will forever linger and be cherished in the hearts of:  her children, Pamela J. Bickham, Darryl (Demetria) Fields, Reginald D. Fields, Charlene (Richard Kelvin) Foster, Patrina S. Williams, Robert Williams, Jr. and Darshia (Brian) Travis; one sister, Maxine Wiggins, of Angie, LA; 27 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Helen Marie was preceded in death by: her husband, Robert Williams; her parents; her grandparent, Theolia Guy; her daughters, Janice M. Fields and Thelma J. Fields; her grandchildren, Larmond “Henri” Godbolt, Sherryal Jones, and Bridgette Scott; and one sister, Mary Thompson.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 12, 2023 from 10:00AM – 1:00PM followed by funeral service for 1:00PM at Bogalusa First Church. Interment – Thompson Cemetery in Angie. Crain and Sons Funeral Home – Bogalusa are in charge of arrangements. Please sign guestbook at www.crainandsons.com.
