Huey P. Kennedy was found deceased at 7:45 p.m. on Sunday evening according to the Hammond Police Department’s Facebook page.

According to the Hammond Police Department, Kennedy walked out of Oceans Behavioral Hospital in Hammond at 6:11 p.m. on June 17. The police department said that his body was discovered about 400 yards from the center.
The Hammond Police Department’s Facebook page said that Kennedy had severe dementia.
Hammond Police Department Public Information Officer Lisa Lambert said that once Kennedy was located, the case was transferred to the criminal investigators.
