65-year old bicyclist robbed at gunpoint

On Sunday June 11, 2023, Officers investigated a reported Armed Robbery that occurred on S. Dauphine Street, near Long Avenue, in Bogalusa.  During the investigation, it was determined that a 65 year old male bicyclist in the area was approached by a black car, and two subjects exited the vehicle and held him up at gunpoint demanding his money.  The victim complied and gave them his money, and the suspects fled in the black vehicle.  During the investigation the two robbers were identified and apprehended.  Arrested were 18 year old Dequincy Youngblood of Bogalusa, and a 17 year old juvenile male, also from Bogalusa.  Both were charged with Armed Robbery and Youngblood was also charged with Illegal Possession of a Firearm.  Youngblood was booked into the City Jail awaiting a transfer to the parish jail pending a bond hearing.  The 17 year old juvenile was charged and remanded to the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center pending arraignment in Juvenile Court.  Three firearms were recovered in a search subsequent to the arrest of the two armed robbers.
