William “Bill” Sidney Dykes, 49 years of age, a husband, son, brother, uncle, stepfather, and grandfather passed away unexpectedly at Lakeview Hospital in Covington, LA on Tuesday, June 7, 2023, which was also he and his wife, Terri’s 10th anniversary.
Bill leaves behind his beloved wife of 10 years, Terri Lynne Lumpkin Garza Dykes; mother-in-law, Ruthalia P. Lumpkin; four stepsons, Chris Garza (Ashley Jones), Jonathan Garza, Patrick Garza (Brandi), and Thomas Garza; seven grandchildren, Ryker Garza, Emersyn “Emmi” Garza, Gabriel Garza, Wyatt Garza, Hunter Coleman, Ava Garza, and Easton Garza.  He also leaves behind a niece, Alaina (D.J.) Williams; nephews, Corey and Cody Dykes; two great nephews; along with several other family and friends.  Bill’s grandchildren were his everything, he enjoyed and loved dearly the time he spent together with them.
Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Cathern Smith Dykes; father, Michael Allen Dykes; his two brothers, Michael Allen Dykes, Jr. and Troy Ray Dykes; and his father-in-law, Dempsey Lumpkin.
Bill is now in his eternal home, where he has been welcomed in the gates of Heaven by all his loved ones whom have gone on before him.  We know now that he is truly happy to be reunited with his dad, mom, and two brothers, that he has missed for oh so long.  May Bill rest in peace for all eternity.
