The second annual Balloon Festival has about 7,000 people over the three days.

The event took place June 2-4.

“We had great weather,” Balloon Festival Chairperson Tiffany Carney said. “We were delayed a little bit on Saturday because there were thunderstorms in the area. We had a gust of wind come on Saturday night, so the balloons had to come down immediately, but the pilots were professional. They were quick and efficient.”

The Balloon Glow and tethered rides were held on June 2.

All 11 sponsored balloons flew on the  morning of June 3.

Balloons were not able to fly on the morning of June 4 because of the weather.

“All of the pilots put on a great show for everyone,” Carney said.

Carney said the committee is very pleased with the outcome.

“We hope everyone enjoyed it and we hope to see everyone next year,” Carney said.
