The Bogalusa City Council Meeting was held yesterday June 6, 2023, at 5:30 pm and ended around 6:30 pm. The agenda for the meeting was as followed:

1. Call to Order
2. Invocation followed by the Pledge of Allegiance
3. Roll Call
4. Approval of minutes
5. Recognition and Awards
6. Adoptions of Resolutions

 

7. Introduction of Ordinances: The following ordinances will be discussed at the next meeting in two weeks’ time–  (1)to authorize the mayor of the City of Bogalusa to render professional engineering services with Meyer Engineering & Architect in connection with Bogalusa sidewalk Phase 1-DOTD TAP (A/E Project No. NP589); (2) authorizing the mayor of the City of Bogalusa to enter into a contract with the low bidder Cruz, LLC. For sand and gravel; (3) amended Section 10:300-10:307 of the City of Bogalusa Code to provide for the operation of Mobile ice cream vending within the City of Bogalusa; (4) authorizing the mayor to raise Electrical Permit Fees from 30 to 40 dollars.

 

8. Public Hearings and Adoption of Ordinances: The following ordinances all received no motion–(1) authorizing the mayor to approve the City of Bogalusa Beautification Commission;(2) approving and adopting the City of Bogalusa Operating Budget and Capital Budget for the Fiscal Year beginning January 1, 2023; (3) authorizing the mayor to enter into a General Service Agreement between the City of Bogalusa and Brennan’s Vending providing ATM Services to the City of Bogalusa; (4) to amend Article IV Division 2 of the City of Bogalusa Code to provide for the operation of a food truck within the City of Bogalusa.
