The Washington Parish Coroner’s office said a 24-year old man drowned on White Sands beach over the weekend.
The office said the man’s name is not being released at this time until the next of kin notification.
The coroner’s office said the man was on a vacation visa from Honduras visiting friends. The office said that he was trying to get kids from the deep end and ended up drowning.
