Doty named Bogalusa’s Student of the Month for May

Adam Quentin Doty, Jr., is the 18 year old son of Adam Q Doty, Sr. and the late Carlotta J. Terlouw. Adam was born in Mobile, Ala. on Aug. 17, 2004. He had to move at the age of five because of unforeseen circumstances.
Adam is ranked in the top of his class at BHS. He has maintained banner/ honor roll his entire high school career. His favorite subject is math. He is a three-year member of the National Honor Society. He represented his school at the District Literary Rally his ninth grade year in algebra I. He has been a BHS JROTC cadet for four years. He was the XO last year of Alpha Company. This required him to be one of the leading figures over a peer group. In this capacity, he was responsible for paperwork and teaching the other cadets about marching and other basic military movements. He is currently the S4, or the logical “expert”. Adam is on the BHS JROTC Raider Team this year. Through this group, he has participated in many competitions across Louisiana and Georgia.
In his free time, Adam enjoys attending Magic Club, playing with his dogs and playing video games. He also likes walking around in the community.
Adam has already enlisted in the United States Army as an E3 or a private first class. His job in the Army will be an automated logistical specialist. He leaves this summer to begin this new chapter.
For the future, Adam hopes to have a long career in the Army, following in the footsteps of his mother. He looks forward to going out and exploring the world.
