2023 Balloon Festival starts June 2

The 2023 Bogalusa Balloon Festival will start on June 2 and run until June 4 at the Washington Parish Fairgrounds.
Besides the balloon activities, the festival will also have more entertainment.
On June 2, there will be balloon tethered rides at 6:30 p.m. There is a balloon glow at 7:45 p.m.
The events on June 3 will be sponsors/competition flights at 6:30 a.m. with balloon tethered rides at 3:30 p.m. There will be a fun flight at 5 p.m. and a balloon glow at 7:45 p.m.
The final competition flight will be on June 4 at 6:30 a.m.
All balloon entertainment is weather permitting.
For the rest of the entertainment, the gates open at 5 p.m. on June 2 with a VIP Dinner. Cypress Creek plays at 5 p.m. The introduction of queens, pilots/crew at 6:30 p.m. Mary’s Wish is at 7:45 p.m. During Mary’s Wish, the Stevie Nicks Costume Contest will take place. Gates close at 10 p.m.
On June 3, gates open at noon with 18 miles at 1 p.m. An on-stage balloon demonstration will be at 2:15 p.m. Rezonators are at 4 p.m. with LA Strip at 6 p.m. The rodeo will be at 7:30 p.m. A band will perform after the rodeo in the arena at 9:30 p.m.
On June 4, the gates open at noon and Autism Sings is at noon. John Ford is at 1:15 p.m. with Justin Blackwell at 3 p.m. The gates close at 5 p.m.
Admission is free for 10-under.
The fee is $5 for a general ticket and $100 for a VIP ticket. A ticket for three days costs $12.50.
