On April 29, the Bogalusa Branch invited the Southeastern Chapter of Louisiana Spirits Paranormal Investigators to speak at the library. Ashley and Andree Madere came to represent the chapter and invited David Young to give a presentation. Young has been on many television programs and given various lectures on the matter, currently there is a Nextflix documentary in the works about what he and others like him in the area that should be released in the Fall. Over twenty patrons came to hear stories and ask questions. Many shared their own experiences and discussed thoughts on the paranormal. Debate on the cause was jovial and topics from biblical entities to physics were considered. The library has been encouraged to plan another event with them and hope to have them back in the Fall.
