Caroline Gail Hagadone Butters entered her Heavenly home on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at the age of 67. Born Nov. 25, 1955, Carol spent her young life in St. Bernard Parish and was a longtime resident of Sun, La. Carol loved animals and was known to take in strays of all creations – snakes to sheep. She had a passion for photographing nature, especially birds, and she loved the outdoors. Carol’s love for her grand babies was immense; she loved with all her heart. Carol will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Carol was the most cherished life companion of 40 years to Ronald Mark Phillips and adoring mother of Michelle Marie Junot and Melinda Ann Marquez (Hank). Carol’s hearts were her grandchildren, Rita, Rebecca, Gabrielle, Dante, and Emily (Cody) and great-grandsons, Loki and Dale. Carol is also survived by her siblings, Linda Lopez (Jerry), Catherine, Dale Jr. (Helen), Henry and Ryan Hagadone, and Robert Ruiz; her stepmom, Judy Hagadone; and a flock of nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Dale W. Hagadone and Rita E. Trosclair, and sister, Mary M. Hagadone.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, May 5, 2023, from 11 a.m. until time for the Memorial Service at 2 p.m. at Poole-Richie Funeral Home in Bogalusa, La.
