Mt. Hermon names McKee its March Student of the Month

Mt. Hermon School’s March student of the month, Hannah McKee, is the 17-year old daughter of William and Julie McKee. She is the granddaughter of Pasty Hornback, as well as the late Marjorie and Dorman Miller. 

Hannah has attended Mt. Hermon School since Pre-K. Throughout her academic career, Hannah has maintained honor and banner roll with a 3.9 grade point average. She is currently enrolled in dual enrollment classes through Southeastern Louisiana University and will graduate with six college credits. Hannah has represented Mt. Hermon at Southeastern University’s Literary Rallies in various subjects. She has also received an award for the Young Author’s Contest placing second in poetry. Also Hannah has represented Mt. Hermon at the Washington Parish Free Fair in her writing, winning multiple awards. While attending Mount Hermon, she has also been involved in Mount Hermon clubs and her class. Hannah has been a member of the Beta Club since sixth grade. During her time in the Beta Club she participated in the Beta State Convention in color photography her junior and senior year. As a member of the Beta and Good Samaritan Club, she has visited local nursing homes, participated in placing wreaths on Veterans graves in local cemeteries, participate in putting on the Veteran’s Day Program at Mt. Hermon, serve breakfast for the Veterans, volunteered to feed and serve the community’s senior citizens, and donated canned foods. Hannah has also been extremely involved in her class becoming Treasurer, she has represented her class as Treasurer for her junior and senior years of high school. 

In the fall, Hannah will continue her academic career at Southwest Community College where she will major in Nursing to further pursue a career as a Registered Nurse.
