Franklinton competed in Northlake Golf League

Franklinton competed in the Northlake Golf League that was held on March 6 at Royal Golf Club in Slidell.
Golfers played nine holes.
Belle Chasse’s Jeff Drury won the league and has won it for both weeks with a 41 in a field of 25.
Archbishop Hannan’s John Ross Hoover. was just a stroke behind for second.
Belle Chasse’s Cole Foret came in third with a 49, followed by Lakeshore teammates Ethan Young and Hayden Simon and Loranger teammates Niles WIllie and Keaton Peak, who all posted a 51 to tie for fourth.
Kade Lavigne led Franklinton with a 56.
Nick Schilling posted a 64 with Alex Ezell at 65, Cliff Cass recorded a 66 and Luke Roshto tallied a 68.
Belle Chasse won the team event with five teams competing.
Archbishop Hannan was second with Loranger and Lakeshore tying for third and Franklinton coming in fifth.
In the girls, Archbishop Hannan’s Calli Johnson won the event with a 40 with eight competitors.
Teammate Ashlyn Crimmins was second with a 44, followed by Archbishop Hannan’s Analise Plunkett’s 52, Salmen’s Kayla McDermott’s 57 and Lakeshore’s Alexis Penton rounded out the top five with a 58.
Franklinton had one female golfer in Brooklyn Pedersen, who posted a 61.
Two teams qualified for team honors with Archbishop Hannan winning.
Lakeshore was second.
Franklinton will compete again on March 20 at Oak Harbor Golf Club.
