Varnado names Nichols the school’s January Student of the Month

Shun’Tiara Nichols, the youngest child of Sharon Dobson, is an 18-year old senior who has attended Varnado High School since the sixth grade. Throughout her years at Varnado High School, Shun’Tiara has maintained a 4.0 GPA while participating in numerous groups and clubs at and outside of school. She has been on the Varnado High Blue Angels dance team for five years, where she has held the position of captain for the last three years. She has received numerous awards and certificates as well, such as certification in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel along with Adobe Certified Professional in Photoshop. She also has her Basic Life Support and Emergency Medical Responder certification. Additionally, Shun’Tiara is a member and leader in the Varnado High School National Technical Honor Society, Senior Beta, and Key Clubs, Talent Search, National Honor Society, and the VHS Student Council. Through these organizations, she goes beyond her busy academic schedule to volunteer for numerous service projects.
By the end of her senior year, Shun’Tiara will have completed eighteen credit hours of Dual Enrollment courses through Southeastern Louisiana University.
Outside of her busy school life, Shun’Tiara works part time and enjoys going out with family and friends. After high school, Shun’Tiara hopes to attend Dillard University and further her education to become a licensed dermatologist.
