Bogalusa looking for alumni track/field athletes to help with meets
Bogalusa track/field coach Eddie Walker is asking alumni track/field athletes to help with meets this year.
There will be a meeting on Jan. 23 at the Bogalusa football field house to discuss who’s going to be available to assist in different meets this year.
The meeting will start at 6 p.m. and finger food will be on hand.
The school is hosting its first meet in about 35 years on March 3.

Franklinton Soccer Club registration
The Franklinton Soccer Club is holding Spring 2023 registration until Jan. 30.
The uniform deadline is Feb. 1.
Players must be four years old by January of 2023.
Games will be played on Saturdays from March 4 through April 29 with no games being played on April 15.
The annual informational meeting and in-person registration will be held on Jan. 19 to play in cash, size uniforms, buy parking passes and get assistance with online signups. It will be held at First Baptist Church in Franklinton. There will be a meal at 6 p.m. with the meeting and registration to follow.
All players must register in the spring each year to play.

Bogalusa Little League Baseball looking for volunteers
Bogalusa Little League Baseball is looking for volunteers for the 2023 season.
They are looking for volunteers in all areas like coaching umpiring, bookkeeping, grounds crew and concession stand workers.

Bogalusa High School tennis looking for donations
Bogalusa High School is starting a tennis team this year and the group is accepting donations.
The team will play a junior varsity schedule this year.

2-time National Champion PRCC cheer hosting upcoming clinics

Cheerleaders from across the southeast will have three opportunities to learn from the best later this month. The two-time UCA National Champion Pearl River Community College cheer team has announced three upcoming clinics for middle schoolers, high schoolers and college transfers. The clinics will take place in Shivers Gymnasium on PRCC’s Poplarville campus.
To register, visit PRCCAthletics.com/Camps. Each participant must complete a PRCC Medical Treatment and Liability Form, which can be found at PRCC.edu/athletic-waiver.
Interested cheerleaders should register early as space for all three clinics is limited.

RECRUITMENT CLINIC
The Recruitment Clinic is open to high school seniors and college transfer students interested in trying out for the PRCC cheer team. The clinic is Friday, Jan. 27, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Cost is $40 per participant.

MIDDLE SCHOOL STUNT CLINIC
The Middle School Stunt Camp is Saturday, Jan. 28, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The camp is open to students in grades 6th – 8th; the cost is $30 per participant.

HIGH SCHOOL STUNT CLINIC
A High School Stunt Clinic is Saturday, Jan. 28, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for students in grades 9 – 12. The cost is $40 per participant.

ABOUT PRCC CHEER
The PRCC cheer team, under the direction of coach Sarah Smith, has won the past two UCA Open All-Girl National Championships. The Wildcats’ claimed their most recent title Sunday. The 2021-22 team had eight cheerleaders sign National Letters of Intent with four-year institutions, including Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Southern Miss, and Western Kentucky University.
