Shirley Fortenberry Crain 88, of Franklinton, La. passed away on Jan. 17, 2023 and was born June 6, 1934 to Hezzie and Merlie Owens Fortenberry in Walthall County. She was a long-time educator in the Franklinton Public Schools of Washington Parish School District. She resided in the community for 50-plus years.

She was preceded in death by her spouse, Coach Walter Crain.

A drive through viewing will be held on Monday, Jan. 23, 2023 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be held in Walthall County on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the Brandon Bay United Methodist Church-Tylertown, Miss. Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton are in charge of arrangements. Please sign guestbook at www.crainandsons.com.
