Sheryl Scroggs Shelby, age 73, passed away on Dec. 16, 2022 in Pascagoula Miss. Sheryl was born, raised and lived most of her life in Bogalusa La. She moved to Ocean Springs, Miss. shortly after Hurricane Katrina. Sheryl graduated from Bogalusa High School, and after working for Seal Drug store, began a career with and retired from, Bell South Telephone Co. For many years, Sheryl promoted and directed the Adorable Miss Pageants. She was a long time member of Annunciation Catholic Church. 

Sheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Betty Scroggs and Leroy M. “Bordie” Scroggs. 

Sheryl is survived by children, Angela “Shelli” Shelby, Matt Shelby, and Mike Shelby. Also, grandchildren Elizabeth Shelby, Connor Shelby, Madison Shelby, Katie Shelby, and Mikayla Shelby.  She is also survived by brothers Roy Scroggs and Jimmy Scroggs of Bogalusa. 

A graveside service will be held at a later date at Ponemah Cemetery in Bogalusa.
