Officers respond to shots fired

According to a Bogalusa Police Department Facebook post made on Saturday that on, Friday, Dec. 9, 2022 at approximately 2140 hours, officers responded to the 800 Block of Warren Street in reference to shots being fired.
The post said that upon officers arrival, it was determined that a large group of individuals were gathered for a birthday party when shots rang out and police were called. The post said that officers located one subject on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The post said that officers also located a second victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper leg. Both subjects were turned over to the B.F.D. and E.M.S. personnel upon their arrival.
According to the Facebook post, officers then attempted to secure the scene and locate witnesses. The post said that there was still an extremely large crowd of people in the area. Officers then learned that a third victim had been transported to the Emergency Room by a vehicle.
According to the post, at this time, one of the victims, a 15-year-old B/M, has succumbed to his injuries. The post said that one victim is still being treated in a local hospital (14-year-old B/M) and the other victim (14-year-old B/M) has been released.
