On Nov. 22, 18 recruits, representing nine different law enforcement agencies graduated from the Basic Police Academy, Class No. 65 of the Slidell Regional Police Academy. All recruits successfully passed the Louisiana Peace Officer Standards and Training requirements, which is a strict curriculum of mandatory law enforcement courses. Three officers are from Bogalusa in Drew Crawford, Michael Crawford and Cierra Mullen. The three were corrections officers. They are now going to be in the field training program to become police officers.
