On Sept. 3, 1948, Melvin Daniels, was born to Helen Hart Daniels and Nathaniel Daniels in Columbia, Miss. He departed this life on Nov. 13, 2022 in Franklinton, La.
Melvin was a jokester and always had a story to tell. He was a fun-loving person who loved to make people laugh. Known to many as “The Washing Machine Man” because of his electrical skills, he was always lending a helping hand.
He leaves to cherish his memories, one daughter, Brachial Daniels of Dallas, Texas; two sisters, Jeardine “Shirley” Daniels-Sparks of New Orleans, La. and Jacqueline Daniels of Franklinton, La.; two brothers, Leanon Daniels of Syracuse N.Y. and Jerry Daniels of Franklinton, La.; two aunts, Margie (Alvin) McGary of Brandon, Fla. and Joyce (James) Jackson of Folsom, La.; one uncle, Donnie (Marilyn) Hart of New Orleans, La.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathaniel Daniels and Helen Hart Daniels; one sister, Anevenet Daniels-Johnson; and four brothers, Nathan Daniels, Jr., Jural Daniels, Charles E. Daniels, and Larry Daniels.
A drive-through viewing will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held Friday, Nov. 25, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Greater Friendship Church of God in Christ 47351 Black Jack Road Franklinton, LA 70438 with Elder Randy Harness ~ Pastor Officiating.
