As the nation honored American heroes for their military service on Veterans Day, Friday, Nov. 11, YouthBuild Bogalusa extended recognition and Vveteran-centric care to military veterans and their families a day earlier by engaging in cleaning graves of fallen soldiers at the Bogalusa Cemetery.

YouthBuild Bogalusa wanted to show appreciation for our courageous veterans that have passed on. YouthBuild Bogalusa removed grass, dirt, grime, weeds, and other debris from the graves of our American heroes. In addition to ensuring graves were cleaned, old flags were removed and replaced with new ones.

YouthBuild Bogalusa’s effort in cleaning the graves was a way to express their gratitude to the fallen soldiers by maintaining the soldiers’ final resting place, giving their families a reputable spot to honor and reflect on the lives of their loved ones.
