ESM United Methodist Church

ESM United Methodist Church invites everyone to join us for the following activities. Sunday activities: Sunday school for all ages begins at 9 a.m., followed by the worship service at 10 a.m. Youth meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday activities include a prayer meeting at 5 p.m. and Bible study 5:30 p.m. Trunk-R-Treat will be on Sunday, Oct. 30, from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. on the church grounds. Come in costume or come participate with your own vehicle. United Methodist Women will meet on Thursday, Nov. 3, at 9 a.m. in the fellowship hall — all women are invited to attend.

St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church

St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church of Bogalusa is celebrating the 100th anniversary of its church building. The celebration will begin Saturday, Oct. 22, at 6 p.m. with a “Wine and Cheese” reception to meet and greet friends of St. Matthew’s coming from near and far. Memorabilia from the past 100 years will be on display in the parish hall. On Sunday, Oct. 23, Holy Communion will be celebrated using Rite I in the Book of Common Prayer, which closely resembles the one that would have been used in 1922. Mother Jane-Allison Wiggin and Deacon Louis Ogle will be the celebrants for the service that will begin at 10 a.m. St. Matthew’s cordially invites everyone to join us. Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church

The Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church Pastor Aid Ministry will sponsor their annual day on Sunday, Oct. 23, at 11 a.m. There will be in-person and teleconference worship service — the dial-in number is 978-990-5000, and the Access Code is 430466#. The guest pastor for the service will be Pastor E. L. Powell Jr. Powell is the pastor at New Triumph Missionary Baptist Church of Bogalusa. All area churches pastor aid ministries are invited to fellowship with the church in its annual day service. Sister Linda Hannah Bullock is the Pastor Aid Ministry President, Sister Carolyn Walker is the Pastor Aid Ministry Secretary, and Deacon Eddie Walker is the Deacon Ministry Chairman.

St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church

The community is invited to join St. Paul A.M.E. Church, located at 420 Church St. in Bogalusa, on Sunday, Oct. 23, at 2 p.m. for the church pastor’s appreciation. The speaker for the occasion will be the Rev. Dr. Earl B Robinson, from Mt. Olive A.M.E. in Slidell.

Calvary Christian Fellowship

• Calvary Christian Fellowship, located at 1240 Ave. F in Bogalusa, will have a special service Sunday, Oct. 30. The special guest speaker will be Missionary Wayne Huffman, who is the senior director of intercultural ministries for the Assemblies of God U.S. Missions. The service will begin at 10:30 a.m., and after the service there will be a time of fellowship with pot luck lunch in the educational building. Pastor Larry Lassley and the congregation invite the public to attend.
• Calvary Christian Fellowship, located at 1240 Ave. F. in Bogalusa, is having Sunday morning services in house at 10:30 a.m., and welcomes the public to come worship. If you can’t make the service on Sunday morning, then you can watch it live streaming on Pastor Larry Lassley’s Facebook page. You can also watch on Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. on live streaming.

Bogalusa Seventh-day Adventist Church

The Bogalusa Seventh-day Adventist Church, located at 19617 Highway 21 North in Bogalusa, welcomes everyone to come worship with us every Saturday. Our Sabbath school begins at 9:40 a.m. and worship service begins at 11 a.m. We have a fellowship meal following our worship service and everyone is invited to stay.
