Kingdom of God Church
The Kingdom of God Church, located at 814 Union Ave. in Bogalusa, will have its sixth year church anniversary celebration on Sunday, Oct. 16, at 7 p.m. The guest speaker will be pastor Brandon Marshall of Restoration Church. Founders are Apostle Kendon and Lady Arica Grant. The event will also be broadcast on Facebook Live.
ESM United Methodist Church
ESM United Methodist Church invites everyone to join us for the following activities. Sunday activities: Sunday school for all ages begins at 9 a.m., followed by the worship service at 10 a.m. Youth meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday activities include a prayer meeting at 5 p.m. and Bible study 5:30 p.m. The men’s breakfast will be Sunday, Oct. 16, at 8 a.m. in the fellowship hall. All men are invited to attend. Trunk-R-Treat will be on Sunday, Oct. 30, from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. on the church grounds. Come in costume or come participate with your own vehicle. United Methodist Women will meet on Thursday, Nov. 3, at 9 a.m. in the fellowship hall — all women are invited to attend.
St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church
St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church of Bogalusa is celebrating the 100th anniversary of its church building. The celebration will begin Saturday, Oct. 22, at 6 p.m. with a “Wine and Cheese” reception to meet and greet friends of St. Matthew’s coming from near and far. Memorabilia from the past 100 years will be on display in the parish hall. On Sunday, Oct. 23, Holy Communion will be celebrated using Rite I in the Book of Common Prayer, which closely resembles the one that would have been used in 1922. Mother Jane-Allison Wiggin and Deacon Louis Ogle will be the celebrants for the service that will begin at 10 a.m. St. Matthew’s cordially invites everyone to join us. Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church
The Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church Pastor Aid Ministry will sponsor their annual day on Sunday, Oct. 23, at 11 a.m. There will be in-person and teleconference worship service — the dial-in number is 978-990-5000, and the Access Code is 430466#. The guest pastor for the service will be Pastor E. L. Powell Jr. Powell is the pastor at New Triumph Missionary Baptist Church of Bogalusa. All area churches pastor aid ministries are invited to fellowship with the church in its annual day service. Sister Linda Hannah Bullock is the Pastor Aid Ministry President, Sister Carolyn Walker is the Pastor Aid Ministry Secretary, and Deacon Eddie Walker is the Deacon Ministry Chairman.
Calvary Christian Fellowship
Calvary Christian Fellowship, located at 1240 Ave. F in Bogalusa, will have a special service Sunday, Oct. 30. The special guest speaker will be Missionary Wayne Huffman, who is the senior director of intercultural ministries for the Assemblies of God U.S. Missions. The service will begin at 10:30 a.m., and after the service there will be a time of fellowship with pot luck lunch in the educational building. Pastor Larry Lassley and the congregation invite the public to attend.
Bogalusa Seventh-day Adventist Church
The Bogalusa Seventh-day Adventist Church, located at 19617 Highway 21 North in Bogalusa, welcomes everyone to come worship with us every Saturday. Our Sabbath school begins at 9:40 a.m. and worship service begins at 11 a.m. We have a fellowship meal following our worship service and everyone is invited to stay. The Church of God of Prophecy

Annunciation Catholic Church
Annunciation Catholic Church will be praying the Rosary every Monday afternoon at 3 p.m. in the church. Prior to the recitation of the Rosary, the group will also pray the beautiful Divine Mercy Chaplet. As noted, these prayers will be held in the church, and not the chapel as in the past. Everyone is invited to come and pray the Rosary for peace in the world and for personal intentions.
Love Outreach Family Worship Church
The Love Outreach Family Worship Church is distributing USDA “Food for Families” food boxes to Bogalusa and the surrounding area. Distribution will be every Wednesday at various locations. For more information, call 985-294-4587.
Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church
Children’s Sunday School and Pastor Joe Arthur’s Adult Bible class each begin at 9:15 a.m. Sunday service starts at 10:30 a.m. with Divine Worship celebrating Holy Communion every Sunday. New Bethel Church
Every week is full of activity at New Bethel Church, located at 737 Ave. F in Bogalusa. Monday at 6:30 p.m. is a Small Group Class on Prayer by Sister Mary. Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. is Wild Ones Youth Night. Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. is a Leadership and Prayer Meeting, and at 6:30 p.m. is Worship and Teaching. Thursday at 6:30 p.m. is Celebrate Recovery. Friday at 6 p.m. is Chosen Movie Night. Saturday at 6 p.m. is Karaoke Night, and Sunday at 11 a.m. is the Sunday Morning Service.
