St. Paul A.M.E. Church
The St. Paul A.M.E. Church family invites everyone to attend its 109th homecoming celebration on Sunday, Aug. 28, at 2 p.m. The speaker for this occasion will be the Rev. Dr. Larry D. Lucas Sr., pastor of Turner Chapel A.M.E. Church in Roseland. The theme is “The Legacy Continues for 109 Years” (1 Samuel 9:1-4).
ESM United Methodist Church
ESM United Methodist Church invites everyone to join them each week for the following activities. On Wednesdays at 5 p.m. there will be a prayer meeting in the church parlor, and at 5:30 p.m. there will be Bible study in the fellowship hall. On Sundays at 9 a.m., there will be Sunday school in the education building, followed by the worship service at 10 a.m. in the sanctuary. Sunday nights at 5:30 p.m., there will be a youth program in the youth room. Take note of the new times for Sundays. Help the church celebrate its 115th birthday on Sunday, Aug. 28. The Rev. Bill Moon will lead that day in worship.
Briarwood Baptist Church
Briarwood Baptist Church, located at 32461 Louisiana Highway 62 in the Stateline community, will hold revival services Sunday, Sept. 18, through Wednesday, Sept. 21, with the Rev. Gary Bowlin of Summit, Miss., as the evangelist. Everyone is invited to attend the services, according to the Rev. Eddie Henson, pastor. On Sunday, regular services are at 10:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. From Monday to Wednesday, services will be at 6 p.m.
Bogalusa Seventh-day Adventist Church
The Bogalusa Seventh-day Adventist Church, located at 19617 Highway 21 North in Bogalusa, welcomes everyone to come worship with us every Saturday. Our Sabbath school begins at 9:40 a.m. and worship service begins at 11 a.m. We have a fellowship meal following our worship service and everyone is invited to stay. We also have Bible study every Wednesday night at 6 p.m. It is our sincere hope that you will come worship with us and study God’s Holy Word. Call 240-444-9401.
The Church of God of Prophecy
The Church of God of Prophecy would like to extend a warm welcome for everyone to come out to services on Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m. and every second and fourth Sunday at 6 p.m. at the church, located at 1610 Greenlaw St. in Franklinton. For more information, call 985-549-0880 or 985-974-4461.
Annunciation Catholic Church
Annunciation Catholic Church will be praying the Rosary every Monday afternoon at 3 p.m. in the church. Prior to the recitation of the Rosary, the group will also pray the beautiful Divine Mercy Chaplet. As noted, these prayers will be held in the church, and not the chapel as in the past.
Love Outreach Family Worship Church
The Love Outreach Family Worship Church is distributing USDA “Food for Families” food boxes to Bogalusa and the surrounding area. Distribution will be every Wednesday at various locations. For more information, call 985-294-4587.
Calvary Christian Fellowship
Calvary Christian Fellowship, located at 1240 Ave. F. in Bogalusa, is having Sunday morning services in house at 10:30 a.m., and welcomes the public to come worship. If you can’t make the service on Sunday morning, then you can watch it live streaming on Pastor Larry Lassley’s Facebook page. You can also watch on Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. on live streaming.
