Douglas Zeam Sigrest, born Dec. 29, 1952, passed away at Lakeview Hospital in Covington on July 16, 2022.

Mr. Sigrest enjoyed playing pool and cards, and loved spending time with family and friends. He was survived by one daughter, Pebbles Galdamez; two grandsons, Luis Galdamez and Aerick Galdamez; one granddaughter, Champagne Mingboupha; one great-granddaughter, Mia Mingboupha; a brother, Prentiss Sigrest; a sister, Abigail Sigrest; one nephew, Brandon Sigrest; his former wife, Brenda Sigrest; and a host of other friends and family.

Mr. Sigrest was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Edward Sigrest; his parents, Zeam and Elizabeth Dykes Sigrest; a brother, Ronnie Glen Sigrest; and grandparents, Calvin and Ada Stafford Dykes and Zeke and Josephine Sigrest.

Brown-McGehee Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements. Visitation was held on Thursday, July 21, from 11 a.m. until time of the service at 2 p.m. Services were officiated by Bro. Charles Ray Creel and Bro. Clay Shook. Pallbearers were Luis Galdamez, Aerick Galdamez, Kyle Flanagan, Aaron Price, Joey Peterson and Darryl Singleton. Interment immediately followed the service at Old Gerald Cemetery in Pine.
