Sweet Rest Baptist Church

The public is invited to the Unity Revival at Sweet Rest Baptist Church on Wednesday, May 11, at 7 p.m. The Rev. Joe Felder, pastor of the Cornerstone Baptist Church (next door to Crain and Sons Funeral Home) will be the guest speaker. His choir and congregation will be the special guest. Come for a spirit filled time in the Lord, as we worship together as Christ would have us to do.

Pleasant Hill Baptist Church

Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, located at 803 Ave. G in Bogalusa, will have a yard sale and chili bun/hot dog sale on Saturday, May 14, from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. There will be lots of newborn to toddler clothes. For more information, call 985-516-0660.

Bethlehem Baptist Church

Bethlehem Baptist Church and Pastor Christopher Matthews Sr. has scheduled its Graduate Recognition program on Sunday, May 15, at 11 a.m. during its worship services. The theme for the event is, “ Graduates — Get Wisdom and Most of All Get a Good Understanding.” The Scripture is Proverbs 4:17. The speaker for the event is Tonya B. Ratliff, an apostle, three times Amazon Best Selling Author, publisher, a certified life/spiritual coach, entrepreneur, and retired educator. She is a native of Bogalusa. She resides in Covington with her husband Allan and son, Nicholas. She is the founder of BuildHer Global Academy, which is a worldwide ministry to train and equip women leaders for ministry and the marketplace. Honorees include: Don C. Allen Jr., Bogalusa High School; Madison E. Brown, St. Scholastica Academy; Jordon Smith Jr., Bogalusa High School; and Kolya C. Collins, Northshore Technical Community College, major is HVAC. High school graduates and their parents will have a Saturday morning “Chat with Wisdom” Brunch in the conference room with the Pastor, First Lady, Associate Ministers, and Graduation Committee. Immediately following Sunday’s program, graduates will be honored with a reception in the Family Life Center.

St. Paul A.M.E. Church
