Jackie Lynn Carnegie Cutrer, 51, a resident of the Thomas Community, died Saturday April 30, 2022, at her home. She worked for several years as a para-professional at Enon Elementary School and always loved the young children she served. Jackie loved going to church and singing her favorite hymns, and she also enjoyed singing Karaoke with her friends. She enjoyed shopping and liked to dress in the best fashions while wearing her beautiful jewelry. Jackie liked to care for her pretty flowers and plants and enjoyed going fishing with her family. She was an excellent cook with some her best being chicken dressing, chicken’n dumplings, banana pudding and other delicious deserts. Jackie adored her younger family members and loved caring for the babies. She will be sadly missed by all those that were close to her.

She is survived by her son, Ethan Smith of Thomas; father, Willard Carnegie Sr. of Thomas; brother, Lavon Carnegie and Vickie Magee of Thomas; sister and brother-in-law, Tekie Carnegie Thomas and Bobby Thomas Jr. of Thomas; nephews and nieces, whom she loved as her own children, Justin and Katie Carnegie, Josh and Brittany Carnegie, Trish and Sam Turbyfill, Ember Reese Magee, Jessica Thomas and Colby Williams, Kayla Thomas and Eric Archuleta, and Miranda Thomas; great-nephews and great-nieces, whom she loved as her own grandchildren, Noah, Remington, Phoenix, McKenzie, Aria, Chira and Kayson; fiancé, Paul Carter and his children Austin Carter and Brandy Carter; special lifelong friend, Charlotte Garza; former sisters-in-law, LaChrisha Carnegie and Brittany Entrekin; and also numerous cousins, other extended family members and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Vera Gail Dykes Carnegie; sister, Sheila Gail Carnegie Smith; brother, Chris Carnegie; and nephew, Zackary Isaiah Smith.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 4, from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. and after 9 a.m. on Thursday, May 5. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 5, with Eld. Eddie Hartfield and Eld. Don Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in the Crain’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Albert Shoemaker, Jeremiah Cotton, Spencer Brooks, Devin Miley, Ricky Dale Miley, Dale Carnegie, Austin Carter and Ray Alsobrooks. Honorary pallbearers will be Ethan Smith, Willard Carnegie, Lavon Carnegie and Paul Carter.
