Bethlehem Baptist Church

Bethlehem Baptist Church and Elder Christopher Matthews has scheduled its “Youth Day” program on Sunday, March 27, during the 11 a.m. worship services. Many of their regular activities were cancelled due to the pandemic. The program is a beginning event for this year’s youth activities and events. Their 2022 Youth Ministry theme is, “Be The Light.” The scripture is Matthew 15:16. Youth Leaders Committee want to recognize high school members, Madison Bruns, Don Allen Jr. and Crishun Matthews for their work in selecting a design, color and theme for the group’s T-shirts. Youth members and leaders plan to wear their T-shirts for the program. The speaker for the event will be Tyrin Troung, a small business owner and candidate for mayor for the city of Bogalusa. He is the son of Thy Truong and Romel Harris. He attended Bogalusa City Schools and was selected as Student of the Year. Truong is a recent graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, where he served as the 53rd student body president for the university. He currently serves as Director of Policy for the Urban League of Louisiana. In the community, he runs a youth organizations called “Better Bogalusa.” Truong’s home church is New Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Varnado. Following the speaker, Pastor Matthews will deliver the sermon. The public is invited to attend.

Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church

Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church of Bogalusa will have its spring revival from Monday, April 11, through Wednesday, April 13, at 7 p.m. each night. Dr. Kenneth Maurice Davis will be the revivalist.

Union Heritage Baptist Church

Union Heritage Baptist Church is hosting a series of lectures on Sunday evenings at 6 p.m., which began Sunday, March 13, and will run through Sunday, April 24. The study entitled “The Trail of Blood” traces the Lord’s New Testament churches down through the centuries. The public is invited to attend. The church is located at 20099 Caroline Drive in Bogalusa.

Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church

Children’s Sunday School and Pastor Joe Arthur’s Adult Bible class each begin at 9:15 a.m. Sunday service starts at 10:30 a.m. with Divine Worship celebrating Holy Communion every Sunday, using best practices to avoid coronavirus spread. New Bethel Church

Every week is full of activity at New Bethel Church, located at 737 Ave. F in Bogalusa. Monday at 6:30 p.m. is a Small Group Class on Prayer by Sister Mary. Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. is Wild Ones Youth Night. Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. is a Leadership and Prayer Meeting, and at 6:30 p.m. is Worship and Teaching. Thursday at 6:30 p.m. is Celebrate Recovery. Friday at 6 p.m. is Chosen Movie Night. Saturday at 6 p.m. is Karaoke Night, and Sunday at 11 a.m. is the Sunday Morning Service.

Elizabeth Sullivan Memorial United Methodist Church

E.S.M. United Methodist Church, located at 510 Ave. B in Bogalusa, would like for residents to come and worship with the congregation. Those who are unable to attend in person can follow the service on Facebook — ESM, UMC. All are welcome.

• Third Sunday of each month is Men’s Breakfast beginning at 8 a.m. Come join the men as they enjoy fellowship, devotion and great food.

Love Outreach Family Worship Church

The Love Outreach Family Worship Church is distributing USDA “Food for Families” food boxes to Bogalusa and the surrounding area. Distribution will be every Wednesday at various locations. For more information, call 985-294-4587.

Calvary Christian Fellowship

Calvary Christian Fellowship, located at 1240 Ave. F. in Bogalusa, is having Sunday morning services in house at 10:30 a.m., and welcomes the public to come worship. If you can’t make the service on Sunday morning, then you can watch it live streaming on Pastor Larry Lassley’s Facebook page. You can also watch on Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. on live streaming. Pastor Larry Lassley and the congregation of Calvary Christian Fellowship invite you to come.

The Church of God of Prophecy

The Church of God of Prophecy would like to extend a warm welcome for everyone to come out to services on Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m. and every second and fourth Sunday at 6 p.m. at the church, located at 1610 Greenlaw St. in Franklinton. For more information, call 985-549-0880 or 985-974-4461.

Annunciation Catholic Church

Annunciation Catholic Church will be praying the Rosary every Monday afternoon at 3 p.m. in the church. Prior to the recitation of the Rosary, the group will also pray the beautiful Divine Mercy Chaplet. As noted, these prayers will be held in the church, and not the chapel as in the past. Everyone is invited to come and pray the Rosary for peace in the world and for personal intentions.
