Local artists are preparing their latest creations for the Washington (Parish) Art Association big group art show and sale, to he held on Sunday, March 27, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.
The show will once again be at the home of Sara Nelson, 28035 Winfred Bateman Road, across from Sherman’s store in Clifton. The show was cancelled last year due to the COVID-19 virus.
“We are hoping for good attendance this year,” said Ann Warner, co-chairman of the show with Nelson. “This is a lovely event where we share art with the community. It is a cultural time as well as an opportunity for artists to sell artwork.”
Delicious homemade refreshments by art association members will be served as visitors view artwork and meet the artists.
For artists, artwork will be accepted on Wednesday, March 23, beginning at 2 p.m. at the Nelson house. Wednesday afternoon is the deadline for bringing artwork for the show.
Everyone is invited to attend and enjoy refreshments. There is no admission charge. Just come and see the lovely work of local artists.
