On Jan. 20, 2022, Mrs. Margie Ann Miller Stewart passed away at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. Mrs. Stewart was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, and wife. She never met a stranger. Mrs. Stewart had countless close friends and family members. She touched so many lives and will be truly missed. She loved to cook and spend time with her grandson. She retired from Stewart Dairy 12 years ago.

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Haspel Stewart; her daughter, Debra Purvis and her companion, Joshua Sellers; one grandson, Jacob Purvis; two sisters, Bonnie (Kenneth) Jones and Betty (Ronald) McCain; two sisters-in-law, Peggy Stewart and Ping Stewart; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Mrs. Stewart was preceded in death by her parents, Mervin and Netta Miller; three brothers, Danny Miller, Don Miller and Bobby Miller; one sister, Mary Stollenwerck; and a brother-in-law, James Sidney Stewart.

Brown-McGehee Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements. Visitation will be on Thursday, Jan. 27, from 10 a.m. until time of service at noon with Bro. Fred Brumfield officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Palestine Baptist Church Cemetery.
