Mrs. Lydia Emmons, a resident of Bogalusa, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021, at the age of 78. Mrs. Emmons was a member of First Baptist Church for 35 years.

Mrs. Emmons is survived by her children, Dale (Amy) Emmons, Tammy Thomas and Karen (Steve) Miley; her grandchildren, Lindsey (Dan) Summitt, Andrew (Paula) Thomas, Emily Thomas, Christopher (Sierra) Emmons, Logan (Laura) Emmons, Kyle (Megan) Miley and Kalli (Daniel) Ricau; and her great-grandchildren, Miley Grace Ricau, Ellie Kate Ricau, Mason Cole Ricau, Mia Elaine Miley, Lawson Christopher Emmons, Annalise Claire Emmons, Lane Logan Emmons, Larke Griffin Emmons and Margaret Ann Thomas. She is also survived by her sister, Vivian Rowe, and a niece, Megan Spradlin.

Mrs. Emmons was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Dale Emmons Sr.; her parents, Willie Rowe and Helen Warren Sawyer; and a brother, William Thomas Rowe.

A graveside service was held Friday, Oct. 15, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Bob Adams officiating.
