Once again, the Washington Parish Library system is partnering with the Louisiana State Bar Association to sponsor the “Ask a Lawyer” program — formerly known as “Lawyers in Libraries.”

Through this program, residents of Washington Parish can sign up for a free 20-minute consultation over the phone regarding any civil issues (no criminal matters). Those who participate in the program will be contacted and given a specific appointment time during the time slot requested and an attorney will contact them for the consultation at the appointed times.

Residents who are interested can contact Melanie or Jennifer at the Bogalusa Library at 985-735-1961 for more information and to sign up for the program which will run from Monday, Oct. 25, to Thursday, Oct. 28, with various time slots available each day.

The deadline to sign up is Monday, Oct. 18.
