Ezzie Charlene Ingram Nastasi fought the good fight and finished the race she started which began on Nov. 21, 1926, and ended on Sept. 19, 2021.
She was born in Bogalusa, to William Terrell and Eliza Crain Ingram. Her passion in life was serving her Savior and sharing His love with others. She was a true example of Christ, exemplifying the fruits of the spirit in her everyday walk. She was patient and kind, not jealous or boastful, was gentle and meek, she loved fiercely, had peace, was faithful and demonstrated self-control. Her smile was contagious and her hugs were warm and welcomed by all. She spent many years as a RN, taking care of others. She enjoyed working in her yard. She loved playing the piano and singing her favorite hymns with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Anthony Tony Nastasi; her brothers, Newt Ingram, Harlon Ingram and W.T.Ingram; her sisters, Evis Young, Lillian Young, Doris Crain and Elsie Ingram. She is survived by her son, Larry Nastasi (Tammy); granddaughters, Jessica Nastasi Meyers (Jared), Krystal Nastasi Husser (Micah); great-grandsons, Mahé Meyers, Kahne Husser and Kylan Meyers; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are as follows: Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Thursday, Sept. 23, visitation from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., and graveside service following at Ponemah Cemetery in Bogalusa.
May we so live to enjoy that day when the Lord may say to us, “Well done thy good and faithful servant, thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things, enter thou into the joy of the Lord” (Matthew 4:7-8).
