Mr. Charles Jenkins, a resident of Prairieville, and previous resident of Bogalusa, went to spend eternal life with the Lord on Aug. 31, 2021, at the age of 67. Charles retired from the Louisiana Department of Corrections after 40 years of service.

Mr. Jenkins is survived by his wife, Brenda Browning Jenkins; a daughter, Misti Klinkhammer; his granddaughters, Sydney and Sadie Klinkhammer, all of Prairieville; and his brothers, Lonnie (Sandy) Jenkins of Prairieville, and Carey (Sharon) Jenkins of Baton Rouge; and one aunt, Charlene Corkern of Bogalusa. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Oneita Stogner Jenkins.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 15, at Palestine Baptist Church in the fellowship hall at 11 a.m.
