Loretta Ann Pittman, departed this life on Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2021, in Covington, at the age of 70. She was born to the late Lloyd and Essie Nichols Lewis on Jan. 24, 1951. She was a long-time resident of Angie. Loretta was a faithful member of Greater Center Baptist Church of Angie, under the leadership of Sydney Jones.

She was married to Alcus Pittman, Sr. for 28 years before he passed; with this union they were blessed with six children, Deborah (Jeffery) Young of Raymond, Miss., the Rev. Wilbur (Cynthia) Morris of Sandy Hook, Miss., Alcus (Tessie) Pittman Jr. of Dallas, Ga., Titus (Lakesha) Pittman and Brandi (Isaac) Hickman of Jacksonville, Fla., and Arnold (Talonda) Pittman of Covington. Later in life, she married Jason Marks Jr. and was a bonus mom to Jason Marks III of Angie, and Jermaine Marks of Lakewood, Colo., and a loving goddaughter Stephanie Sheridan. She has 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren as well as a host of sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Alcus Pittman Sr.; her parents; two brothers, Luther Earl Lewis and Richard Dean Lewis; and a brother-in-law, Alton Pittman.

Drive-through viewing will be Friday, Sept. 10, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, Sept. 11, at 11 a.m. at the Dillon Cemetery, located at 62007 Louisiana Highway 438 in Angie. Officiating will be the Rev. Sydney Jones.
