A broadband meeting to discuss the GUMBO grant program has been postponed until October.
GUMBO stands for Granting Unserved Municipalities Broadband Opportunities, and the program has set aside $180 million in federal funds to provide broadband and internet access to 400,000 households statewide.
The meeting had been originally set for Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Washington Parish Courthouse, but it has been postponed until Thursday, Oct. 28, according to State Sen. Beth Mizell’s office.
