Our Heavenly Father came and took our beloved Ronnie to his Heavenly home on Aug. 17, 2021, at 11:46 a.m. He passed away at home from cancer.

Ronnie was a 1965 graduate from Bogalusa High School. He worked at the Gaylord Box Plant, served two years in the U.S. Army in Germany, was a fireman at the NASA Test Facility in Picayune, Miss., and retired as a Captain of the Bogalusa Police Department of which he served 25 years.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Glenda Stewart, and one daughter, Rhonda Kay Davis (Sharon Cotton), all of Bogalusa, LA; one brother, Terry A. (Patti) Davis Sr. of Ozark, Ala.; and one uncle, Kenneth Wayne Amacker of Saucier, Miss. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Davis and Violet Amacker Davis; and his twin sister and brother, Angela Rebecca Davis Crawford and Reginald “Reggie” Davis.

The family would like to thank his doctors, Hamid Hussan, Patti Wascom, James Corinder, Andrew Elson, Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, and Heart of Hospice in Mandeville for all their tender loving care through this trying time.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Poole-Ritchie will be in charge of the arrangements.
